Wiltshire County Council has given the final go ahead for The Crown Estate’s plans to build 175 new residential units in Marlborough on land located to the west of Salisbury Road. The plans, which also include a 60 bed hotel, received final sign off from the Council on Friday 29 July 2016.

Research set to chart the impact of sailing tourism

The future prospects for sailing tourism in Scotland will be the focus of a research project taking place over the next few months, funded by Highlands & Islands Enterprise, The Crown Estate and Scottish Canals.
The project, called ‘Building our Capabilities’, is being undertaken by EKOS Ltd and will provide an update on the current economic contribution sailing makes to the Scottish economy and identify potential for growth across the industry.
